Medical Diagnostic Laboratories LLC (MDL) is a member of the Genesis Biotechnology Group (GBG).
GBG is a consortium of entities and institutes, in the fields of molecular biology, medicinal chemistry and biotechnology.
Our mission is to improve the patient's quality of life by linking basic science and the development of diagnostic and pre-clinical treatments.
We provide clinical laboratory services through a CLIA certified clinical laboratory with multiple state licensing.
The laboratory specializes in state of the art; automated DNA based molecular analysis of a variety of chronic and infectious diseases.
Our GBG members are also engaged in research and development of complex genetic tests, screening for potential drugs and drug targets, clinical trials and other research and academic collaborations.
The Genesis Biotechnology Group has an opening for a team-oriented Phlebotomist.
As a phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood from patients, collecting a variety of other specimen samples as well as labeling blood vials and packing all blood and specimen samples for submission to the lab.

Essential Functions:
Collect blood samples from patients Label vials with patient information Decipher the best method for drawing blood Transport all specimen samples to a nearby laboratory Centrifuge blood samples according to state regulations Practice infection control standards at all times when working with patients and equipment Perform other job related duties as required Additional
Responsibilities:
Verify test requisitions by comparing information with nursing station log; bringing discrepancies to the attention of unit personnel Verify patient by reading patient identification.
Obtain blood specimens by performing venipuncture's and finger sticks Maintain specimen integrity by using aseptic technique, following department procedures; observing isolation procedures Collect therapeutic drug-monitoring assays by collaborating with nursing personnel to ensure appropriate drug dose to collection time Track collected specimens by initialing, dating, and noting times of collection; maintaining daily tallies of collections performed Monitor glucose levels by performing bedside glucose tests; recording results; reporting results to unit nurse-manager Perform bleeding-times tests by entering results to the computer; notifying pathologist of results falling outside normal ranges Maintain quality results by following department procedures and testing schedule; recording results in the quality-control log; identifying and reporting needed changes Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations Resolve unusual test orders by contacting the physician, pathologist, nursing station, or reference laboratory; referring unresolved orders back to the originator for further clarification; notifying supervisor of unresolved orders Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations Serve and protect the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and JCAHO standards Enhance phlebotomy department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments Job

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
