Westampton, NJ Westampton, NJ $100,000 - $125,000 a year $100,000 - $125,000 a year Burgos Group is seeking a Construction Estimator for our Westampton, NJ office to estimate federal agency client construction projects and perform other project related functions.
Responsibilities include:
Accomplish tasks using computer based estimating, scheduling and spreadsheet programs; Prepare cost estimates, develop and apply unit rates (cost and job hour) to quantities and perform extensions for total cost estimates; Apply concept of constructability to detailed cost estimate take-offs; Prepare presentations of cost estimating data; Interface with designated management and client counterparts; Coordinate the timely, systematic, and complete acquisition of estimate support materials when information is incomplete; Assist in procurement of materials and services; Other Administrative duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of materials used in construction and of cost estimating for conceptual designs, preliminary design, and for final cost estimates; Knowledge and understanding of various technical support group functions, specific knowledge of engineering standards, state and federal codes; ability to read prints, draw sketches, analyze data and generate records and reports; Demonstrated ability to meet schedules and deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.
Previous Experience is preferred Experience with GSA, USACE, USAF and FAA projects Experience estimating multi-discipline design build/design assist projects Knowledge of federal building standards (PBS-100, UFC, ACS) Experience estimating projects located in metropolitan areas Education Requirements Four (4) year degree 2 years experience using RS Means in construction cost estimating To apply, please submit your resume and salary requirements at burgosgroup.
